Formed in 1987, ARUSI is a privately owned corporation and is an 8(a) certified minority-owned and operated business. ARUSI is certified by the City of Phoenix as a minority and disadvantaged business enterprise (MBE/DBE). Licensed by the State of Arizona in professional engineering and general contracting, ARUSI currently employs 47 engineers, technicians, designers, draftsmen, project managers and support staff. ARUSI’s technical staff includes backgrounds from the various engineering disciplines including electrical, mechanical, civil/structural, and industrial areas. ARUSI has two divisions: ARUSI General Contracting (ARUSI GC), which provides construction management and environmental services and EDM GROUP, which provides engineering and design services. Alejandro Reynoso serves as the company’s President and CEO and has guided the company’s successful growth and expansion. For more than fifteen years, ARUSI has continually raised the bar in the services it provides to government agencies and private sector companies. utilities faced under the threat of deregulation and competition.
He saw opportunities for utility providers to outsource engineering
design as a means to save money and he seized the opportunity to
form ARUSI, which now has become the choice provider for engineering
and design services by the Phoenix area utility companies. ARUSI’s
reputation in delivering high quality engineering and design services
has led to interest by several government sectors for ARUSI to manage
the design-build projects from initial engineering and design through
